Arts Kete

What we learned:
We first did a brainstorm about what being an artist means. Julianna helped me with the writing while I do the research.

Before we practiced the lino cutting we were told how to hold the tools properly. We practice the lino cutting, at first it was really hard to do but, after I did my second one it was still really hard but I did better than last time.

My second attempt. Then after our second attempt we brainstormed our ideas for our main lino print.

My idea:

Fantasy- Fallen angels, magical worlds, Unicorns, Imagination, Demons, Hybirds, Creatures you've never seen before.

Then we practice lino cut once again, my last attempt was better than the first and the second one. I didn't finish it though because we didn't have enough time and I was trying not to cut myself.

Prediction:

What we are learning:
Explain New Zealand's national identity and how it has been shaped. Identifiying the different cultures ant the difference between cultural and kiwiana. Explain how Maori, Pakeha and other culture beliefes and valeues contribute to NZ's national identity.

How I think my work shows my learning:

• Kete work (Musical instruments) This shows mw learning because it says what the instrument are for.

I think this shows my learning because I took my time to finish my work and explained what it meant.

I made a menu about New Zealand foods, and put pictures to show what it is.

I explained what the meaning of the NZ places in maori.

If I did this kete again what would it do differently?

I would colour my work so it would stand out.

This dance is from a Kpop girl group Blackpnk.

It's a hip hop style dance.

This music is Playing with Fire.

The dancers are female, talented and beautiful.

The speed is medium speed.

Reflections
I learned how to make graphs using google sheets. It was challenging because I can't get it right at first.

We Are Hornby Assessment

What we are learning:

Explain how Hornby High School is a community, and explain the values of Hornby High School.

How I think this shows my learning:

Be able to describe the roles and responsibilities of people at Hornby High School, and explain how these values are needed. Be able to give examples of how these values are shown through the school.

Example of roles and responsibilities:

Principal, Teachers, Teacher aids, House leaders, Year 8 monitors and Kitchen duties.

If I did this task again what would I do differently:

I would take my time to explain each of the Hornby High values, so people can understand more and be able to show them. Another one is be able to name more roles and responsibilities, and how it's important to our community.

What is the purpose of this task?

How does it show my learning?

It shows my learning because we know the roles and responsibility of the people in our community.

If I did it again what would I do differently?

If I did it again I would put more roles and responsibility.

Describe how HHS is a community?

HHS is a community because they have different roles and responsibility and can do their roles properly.
